Plataine's Executive Appears on Better Process Internet Radio Show

Speaking with Rayment, Piacenza discussed the global and economic trends affecting metal fabricators in North America, as well as a number of strategic directions that successful fabricators have applied in order to maintain a competitive edge.

"One of the greatest challenges facing metal fabricators these days is adapting to the changes brought on by industry consolidation," says Piacenza. "Many of the longstanding relationships in the industry have evaporated, resulting in reduced predictability of supply and demand. Limited visibility for decision makers can lead to losses due to higher raw material costs, unnecessary inventories, and poor utilization of labor and equipment. Fabricators need to find new ways to manage through a constant state of change in order to survive and thrive in this environment."
